Questions

The answers we give in the studio — payment, hair, shipping, returns — written down so you do not have to wait for a reply before you order.

Hair

What does “raw” hair mean here?

Unprocessed, single-donor and cuticle-aligned. That is the difference between hair that tangles at the nape after three washes and hair that survives colouring, heat and daily wear for years. We do not sell steamed or chemically-processed hair under a premium label, and we do not blend synthetic fibre into a bundle to make weight.

Can I colour or bleach it?

Raw hair takes colour, but bleaching past level 7 shortens its life. Have it done by someone who works with raw hair regularly, and deep condition immediately after.

How should I wash and store it?

Detangle from the ends upward before any water touches it. Use a sulphate-free cleanser, never pile the hair on top of your head, and rinse until the water runs clear.

Between installs, wash the set, dry it fully, brush it out and store it flat or on a wig stand inside a breathable bag. Never store hair damp. The Blog has the full procedures, step by step.

Payment

How do I pay?

Payments are processed by Lipila. Miss Kanzi never stores your mobile money PIN or your card number.

Card — Visa, Mastercard and American Express from any country, on Lipila’s secure page.

Mobile money — Airtel Money, MTN Money and Zamtel Kwacha, Zambia only, because those wallets only reach Zambian numbers. Lipila sends a prompt to your phone; nothing is taken until you enter your PIN on your own handset.

Why is the price in Kwacha?

Prices are set and charged in Zambian Kwacha. You can read the site in US Dollars, Pounds, Euros or Rand — those are conversions at our posted rate to help you judge the price. The amount on your statement is your bank’s conversion of the Kwacha total on the day. Checkout says so before you pay.

When is my order actually paid?

Your order is only marked paid when Lipila confirms the transaction to us over a signed callback. If a payment fails you can retry from your account without placing the order again.

Shipping

How long does delivery take?

We ship worldwide from Lusaka.

Lusaka: same day if you order before 14:00 on a working day. Rest of Zambia: two to four working days. Southern Africa: three to six. Rest of Africa: four to eight. UK and Europe: five to nine. North America: five to ten. Middle East, Asia and Oceania: seven to twelve.

Made-to-order pieces, including The Statement wig, take seven to ten working days in the studio before dispatch. Full costs are on Delivery & Returns.

Who pays import duty?

International prices do not include import duty or local sales tax. Whatever your country charges on arrival is payable by you — check your own customs threshold before ordering, because we cannot refund a parcel refused at the border.

Returns

Can I return a bundle I have opened?

Bundles, closures and frontals can be returned within fourteen days of delivery outside Zambia, or seven days inside it, if they are unopened, with ties and bands intact, and have not been washed, cut, coloured or installed.

Once lace has been cut or a bundle unwrapped, hygiene rules mean we cannot resell it and cannot accept a return. Return postage on an unwanted item is yours.

If a piece is faulty or is not what we described, contact us within seven days with photographs. We repair, replace or refund in full, and we cover the return shipping.

Studio

How do I reach you about an order?

The studio answers messages between 09:00 and 18:00 Central Africa Time (UTC+2), Monday to Saturday. Quote the order number in the first message — it is on your confirmation page and in your account. That is the fastest route to an answer.

Email and phone are in the footer of every page.
